Emotional Freedom Technique: What It is and Why You Need It

By Editor Leave a Comment

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is an exciting healing process that is relatively new.

EFT completely eliminates (in most cases) persistent negative emotions, anxieties, fears, phobias and even physical pain and symptoms when there is an underlying problem of emotional stress.

Based on new discoveries using the body’s subtle energies, EFT provides rapid, lasting relief for even the most intense of emotional problems.

This includes such things as trauma, stress, depression, addictive cravings, grief, anger and more. Everyone has experienced some of these symptoms or disorders at some point in their life.

Negative Emotional Blocks

The cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body’s energy system.

Unconsciously we build emotional blocks within us starting as early as childhood or even during the birthing process.

They are ingrained in us from our life experiences and our perceptions from the interactions with our environment. Often we don’t even realize we are creating them.

Dr. Roger J Callahan

The teachings of EFT were developed from Dr. Roger J. Callahan, a dedicated psychologist with over 40 years experience. His stunning discoveries that he has brought to the public are changing the face of psychology today.

Dr. Callahan passed these teaching onto Gary Craig and the ultimate test came when Gary was given the opportunity to test the power of EFT with some American Vietnam Veterans to help them overcome their horrible memories of war.

Using EFT for PST

The Vietnam Vets suffered from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) with the common problems of sweating, crying, headaches and anxiety attacks.

Depressed and in pain, their fears and phobias would keep them up at night in the form of recurring nightmares. Many of the subjects had been in therapy for 20 years with very little relief…that is until Gary was invited to bring EFT into their lives.

With EFT you will retain your memories but you will no longer have any emotional charge or attachment to them.

EFT can be like walking out of prison after living in solitary confinement for years and seeing blue sky despite the fact that it is raining. It changes your perspective.

What to Expect in an EFT Session

A first session is one hour in length. Each one after that ranges from 30 to 60 minutes. Everyone’s case is totally unique and some people get over lifelong problems in moments while others require longer periods of time and a little persistence.

You are also given simple tools to use in case other challenges arise or you have not yet reached complete resolution and confront your anxiety outside of the office setting.

It is possible to perform EFT over the phone but has a slightly better success rate when it takes place in person. The freedom EFT provides you can give you the confidence and the potential to earn that greater income, start that new business, lose weight, approach people with ease or even become a public speaker, singer or comedian

It brings you freedom from years of self doubt, anger over a death, a bad relationship or even negative memories involving sexual or other forms of abuse, all while dramatically changing your world into a peaceful and more loving environment.

What Not to Expect in an EFT Session

  • There is no long, drawn out, “tell me your life story” feature to EFT.
  • There are no pills, needles, chemicals or surgical procedures.
  • There is no painfully reliving past traumatic events
  • It doesn’t take months or years

It takes a fraction of the usual time and is often done in minutes. People simple get beyond their emotional luggage, usually permanently, and go about their lives more effectively.

There are just a few seemingly harmless procedures that involve tapping, humming, counting and rolling your eyes around in your head.

The EFT Exercise

This method of clearing is done by tapping on the body’s energy meridians, the same meridians as in acupuncture.

It is important to know the order the tapping should occur as well as the adjunctive exercises.

In doing this, the energy system is balanced while the person tunes into their problem eliminating the cause.

Interesting Quotes from History

Here’s something to think about. Beliefs are very powerful. We fight wars over them. We build monuments to them. Medicine, psychology and political systems are built on them. But, sometimes they are untrue. There was a time that we all believed in fairy tales, too.

“Heavier-than-air flying machines are impossible.” Lord Kelvin, President Royal Society.

“Everything that can be invented has been invented.” – Charles H. Duell, Director of U.S. Patent Office, 1899

“Who the heck wants to hear actors talk?” – Harry M. Warner, Warner Brothers Pictures, 1927

Do you wish to do the things you’ve always wanted to do without suffering from fear?

With this new freedom, no dream is too big. Ultimately, when people follow their dreams, they exude a positive energy that affects those around them
